An interesting case for publishers: A small news website has launched a series of lawsuits, including 9 against the federal government, alleging copyright infringement after its articles, which are subscription-only, were shared via e-mail. It has won more than $13,000 in small claims court. Now, its claims will be tested in federal court. The publisher, Blacklock's Reporter, says it's protecting its intellectual property. The federal government calls it a "copyright troll."
