Just an average guy living out in the country southeast of Indy.
Introduction
I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, which for many a year I proclaimed as the armpit of America.  Now that I'm getting up there in the years, I've come to realize that Indy is actually a pretty nice place to be.

I love old classic cars, from originals to chopped rat rods... actually lean a bit more towards the rat rods, but hey, who's counting?  Some day I would love to get an early '60's Ford or GMC pickup, or a late '40's Dodge Powerwagon, or a '30's Ford or Chevy 4 door sedan (the rear doors are suicide doors... just plain cool), or a '50 Ford sedan... yeah, the '50 Merc is really sweet, but it is just plain HUGE!  The Ford is a bit smaller, and in my opinion would be more fun to drive.  I also love to go camping.  Luckily I have a bunch of friends that love it too.  We usually try to go at least once a year, but the past several years it hasn't been so easy, with everyone having kids and well, family life just being busy.  It's just one of those things that you come to understand about life.  If someone told me what it would be like, way back in the day... well, actually, people did try to tell me, and of course I just scoffed and said "Yeah right, that'll never happen to me!"  Well, it has, and you know what?  I think it's a pretty damn good way to live.  No offense to all the ladies out there, I'm sure you are all infinitely cool in your own ways, but I have Amy, the best woman in the world as my wife.  She puts up with my stubborn and (only sometimes) cranky ass, and always finds a way to put a smile on, make a witty comment, and make me laugh.  I also have two great kids, Noah and Liam.  Check out my photos, you'll see some pics of the boys.

I wish I knew how to make live wallpapers for Android.

I would make this Browncoats image have the flaring light from behind, like in the Firefly logo at the beginning of each episode. Have the light moving around behind in random directions and have an option to have it pulsing in brightness. Also have an option for the light to be stationary.

Any genius live wallpaper creators out there?

Wish I knew how to code stuff like that. I'd help anyway I can, I just don't know anything about it.

A little bit ago my phone wouldn't wake up when I pressed the power button. I let it sit about 10 minutes then tried again and it came on but had the message "Process system isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" with the options to Wait, Report, or OK. I pressed OK, and it let me unlock my phone. After it unlocked I was on the home screen and another message popped up "Clock isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" with the same options. I pressed OK, and it seems to be working just fine now. My phone isn't rooted or anything. I don't even use a different home screen Launcher, just stock Android. I just updated to JB 4.2.1 on Monday via OTA update (I'm on Sprint). The only odd thing I did was to use the "clear Google Framework data, force close, check for updates" method to get the update OTA.

Anyone else have this happen to them, or heard of it?

A friend of mine, +James Neal and I just started getting into hiking.  We started out at Spurgeon Hollow Loop near Delaney Park in the Jackson-Washington State Park, which is an 8 mile trail.  James has done it 3 times so far and I have done the trail with him 2 of those times.

We both went down there Feb. 8th and had a great time.  We decided to try to get back down there once a month when possible.  We just went again this past Sunday and had a good hike again.

I'm pretty damn out of shape, and there are three good size hills down there.  Well the first hill pretty well kicked my ass!  I had to stop 4 or 5 times, hell, maybe it was 6 times because my legs were on fire and I was out of breath.  The second hill, I had to stop 3 times and the last hill I think I had to stop a couple times.  The second time down there, this past weekend, I used a hiking pole the whole time and actually stretched my legs a little before getting into the first hill.  Made it up all three hills without stopping and it went great.  I didn't realize just how much a hiking pole helps.

The loop has a semi-loop that comes off the north part of the main loop and has an offshoot trail around the southeast part of the loop that heads south towards Louisville, KY., so the plan is to condition ourselves by adding in the extra loop in a month or so, then next January or February head down the south leg and stay a night or two on the trail.

If anyone has any tips for beginner hikers, it would be much appreciated.

Since I tried wool, I favour it for a base layer all year, even in summer heat because it wicks away moisture better than cotton or any other fabrics I have tried.

I typically set a fast pace, so by foregoing the third layer until well below freezing temps keeps the sweating to a minimum. Then adding & removing hat, gloves & scarf allows for fine-tuning my overall body temperature. Remember, your head can shed or retain a lot of body heat so removing a hat can cool you off a lot.

Watching Firefly (The Message episode) right now... Right after Jayne gets his hat and Mal and Zoe open their crate... "What'd 'yal order a dead guy for?"

Shiny quote. I'd have to say that my favorite episode is "Out of Gas".

My home screen. I've tried to go as minimalistic as possible so I can enjoy the live wallpaper.

Using Exodus Pro live wallpaper.

The arching icons along the top is Wave Launcher.

The circled icons in the center is Circle Launcher. I have 3 Circle Launcher widgets along the bottom of the screen and I made their icons transparent.

So normally the screen only has the Google Search Bar at the top. The icons only appear when I want them to.
