The Headline: Will Christie play in the WH? The GOP’s ‘sit down & shut up’ candidate

The Story: Christie once told a protester, “So, listen. You want to have a conversation later? I’m happy to have it later, buddy. But until that time, sit down and shut up!”

In Christie’s mind, his rhetorical style is worthy of an Oxford Union debate.

“This strain of libertarianism that’s going through [the political] parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought,” Christie told the press.

The Headline: Mass media’s quest for headline #violence – putting us against them

The Story:  Do we need that shooter headline? The tragedy that sparks headlines? Is that why our entertainment is so violent - because we crave it? Do we want murder and mayhem to spark our news coverage and entertainment choices?

Dipak K. Gupta wrote, “It has been our experience that throughout history we have found comfort in the existence of an enemy…. When there has been one, we have felt united, bathed in the warm glow of camaraderie and fellowship; when there has been none, we have sought an enemy within our own ranks.” (“Path to Collective Madness, A Study in Social Order and Political Pathology,” 2001)

The Headline: Dems are imploding with Sanders taking the thunder, still why did @MartinOMalley tank so bad?

The Story: On paper, O’Malley looks like he would be the natural alternative for Democratic primary voters wary (or sick) of the scandal-plagued Clinton. The 52-year-old former two-term governor of Maryland offers an experienced, credible and somewhat younger option, especially those frustrated by Clinton’s scandals or the media’s assumption of her inevitability.

Yet Sanders, the senator in his seventies, has become the vogue choice for today’s anti-establishment Democrat.

The Headline: Thurs started out ok... Grexit fears, anemic US job # hit pre-holiday trade

The Story:  the taxpayers who generally foot the bill for this small army of wealthy deadbeats, continue to pay an ever heavier price in taxation and job loss without raising much of a ruckus at the ballot box. Until and unless this happens, nothing will change, including tepid employment numbers and pathetic economic “recoveries” that are basically not recoveries at all.

The Headline:  Spin Doctors: Why do we listen to these people?

The Story: There are a multitude of options for consumption, depending on one’s particular taste. Consumers often use more than one source to get news, and develop preferences based on beliefs and approach to life. The leaders of the pack are the networks; Fox News, CNN and CNBC, followed by ABC, CBS, and NBC. Each network provides its own filter for its viewers, reporting on the news it wants, in the manner that fits its paradigm. The network decides what viewers learn about, what they ignore, and even explains how to think about events.

The Story: Enough is enough. Time to set the record straight and teach a little vexillology to the poor benighted cultural jihadists.

Over the course of 23 days until the finish in Paris on Sunday, July 27, the world’s elite professional bike riders will cover a total distance of 3,366 kilometers, or 2,091 miles, shorter than last year’s Tour but with more climbing miles. Aurora Batman shootings media blame game begins in record time | Washing...

It seems the last cause ever blamed by the media for shootings like the one in Aurora is the person who commits them.

My experience with vets in the Rockville area has been horrible. Needing to have a major surgery on my large breed dog, I went out to Beallsville (a 45 minute drive) and met with Dr. Kara Schoepp and her staff; they did the surgery, took fabulous care of my dog (friend), though the wound was huge, it was taken care of in such a way I could take care of my dog at home and he has had NO problems because of the fine surgical care Dr. Kara was able to provide. And the price is the price. No , oh, you also have to pay for... doubling the cost as I have experienced time and time again. And before we began she was fair and honest and transparent n the pricing she quoted. I cannot say enough good about Peachtree Animal Hospital. I am moving both my dogs over to Peachtree - the confidence I have in the group is worth the drive! Could not be happier. Not all VCA's are the same. The difference here is Dr. Kara. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
