Introduction
Jacob O. Wobbrock, Ph.D. is a technologist and entrepreneur in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI), user experience, and product design and innovation. He is on the faculty at the University of Washington Information School and, by courtesy, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He is currently on leave from UW as Co-founder, President and CEO of AnswerDash, Inc., a VC-backed startup improving online customer experience by providing a point-and-click self-service solution for websites and web applications. Previously, Dr. Wobbrock worked in Silicon Valley start-ups DoDots, Inc. (1999-2001) and Google, Inc. (2001), where he was a user interface design-engineer. He also held technical internships at Intel (1997), the Intel-Mattel Smart Toy Lab (1999), and Microsoft (2003), where he designed and built advanced prototypes for off-desktop user experiences.

Dr. Wobbrock holds a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University (2001-2006), and B.S. and M.S. degrees from Stanford University (1994-2000).
