"One must have the nerve to assert that, while people are entitled to their illusions, they are not entitled to a limitless enjoyment of them and they are not entitled to impose them upon others. Allow a friend to believe in a bogus prospectus or a false promise and you cease, after a short while, to be a friend at all.

How dare you intervene? As well ask, How dare you not? Are you sure you know better? Ask yourself this question a thousand times, but if you are sure, have the confidence and dignity to say so. Remember that saying nothing is also a decision, and that the relativists and the "nonjudgmental" have made up their minds just as much, if not as firmly."

Big Picture Science Radio Show: Going All to Species (ENCORE)

The fossilized bones of Homo naledi are may hold a special place in our ancestry: a link between us and our ape-like ancestors. Some anthropologists hail the discovery as that of a new hominid species, but not all their colleagues agree. Also, the scientist who retrieved the fossils describes her perilous crawl through a cave with only ten inches of elbow room.

In a sane country with a sane electorate of voters. Clinton would be done for. The Wikileaks of her own emails and those around her are so damning that her guilt is written in her own words. But this is an insane electorate where each side plays for their "team", where ethics and being a criminal, no longer matter to the "team voter".

On the flip side... Trump should have never gotten this far. Especially not out of the deep field of candidates that ran against him.

The voters are normally the last check and balance. I've said for a long time now that checks and balances are dead. With the voter becoming "Team players" they truly are dead. People can say to themselves that it is either/or Trump/Clinton to make them feel better but the truth is... the candidate YOU vote for is a representative or YOUR morals, YOUR ethics, and YOUR credibility. If Trump or Clinton stands for you... Time to look in the mirror and really evaluate things.

The guy I'm voting for didn't know where Aleppo was, I can live with that. At least his morals and ethics are not in the gutter like Trump/Clinton.

"...don't allow your thinking to be done for you by any party or faction, however high minded. Distrust any speaker who talks confidently about "we", or speaks in the name of "us". Distrust yourself if you hear these tones creeping into your own style. The search for security and majority is not always the same as solidarity; it can be another name for consensus and tyranny and tribalism."

But there’s little question that the Libertarian has followed his own counsel, owned his mistakes, and put forth a set of proposals worth taking seriously.

Gary Johnson wants Congress to declare wars, interventions to have clearly defined goals, and an end to "War on Terror" victory fantasies.

+Jason Falter looks like there is a explanation for the Hillary search results. I still think it's censorship, but at least they do it across the board.
