Non of these financial crash docs say anything about the 4th Industrial revolution we've gone through. Intel did research which indicates 17% of jobs on the planet were wiped out by the proliferation of internet purchasing and service provision in under half a decade. As with all other industrial revolutions the technology wipes out jobs at first, then as the technology is more widely understood, opportunities are spotted and employment rises again. A huge, huge drive for economies around the world yet nobody gives it a glance. The reason we are seeing growth in many economies, and in particular a large increase in start-ups and a desire for artisan produce; is the online industrialisation.
