Colorful buttes, spires, and pinnacles rise out from the prairie in Badlands National Park in South Dakota. #FB #gplus #ma

Can you believe that it's been 4 months since we made that van our home and started driving? Ever since then every day is choose-your-adventure day. We made new friends and met old ones. We made temporary home in Bishop and Joshua Tree (CA), Sedona (AZ), Moab (UT), and now Boulder (CO) - chasing sunshine, new peaks, and adventures along the way. It's been a privilege. Thanks for coming along. #FB #Gplus

Happy Friday! The La Sal mountain range, visible from our campsite, has been calling for me and I'm thinking I might just head over there tomorrow. What adventure awaits you this weekend? #fb #gplus

Desert towers are scary. They're often super windy and dirty, with questionable pros and often long approaches. But to stand on one of these 'mud towers' is quite something alright. This is Jack on top of the Ancient Art - a wobbly-pizzapan-sized-mud-tower-never-again tower in Utah. #fb #gplus

Saguaro cactus forest - and Happy Monday to all of you from Arizona. Today is one of those days when I woke up feeling charged and ready to tackle whatever the week throws at me. And I hadn't even had my coffee! Crazy, huh? #Gplus #fb

Just be careful--some people have died recently tubing on rivers in Colorado!

We totally underestimated the end of winter here in Colorado. We had to learn quickly to love spring hiking (read: muddy) and the psychotic weather. As someone somewhere said, there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear. #FB #Gplus

On our way from Utah to Denver, we stopped by 2 national parks in Colorado I'd never been to before. Today I learned that not only is there a giant sand dune in Colorado, it's also surrounded by snow capped mountains and streams. It's quite a surreal place. #gplus

Watching the sky doing its crazy pre-storm thing from our van, eating hastily cooked Mac and Cheese while being rocked by 30 mph wind. It's one of those evenings I'm glad we have a van, a heater, and a fully loaded Kindle. #FB #Gplus

Post climbing sunset on Potash Rd, Moab. Ive been to Moab, UT a number of times and each time I'm finding new corners with postcard worthy sceneries. The gateway town to visit Arches NP it's also a popular town for off-roading, mountain biking, and climbing. Not to mention the coolest little town's library I've been to. I think we'll stay here awhile :) #fb #gplus

We drove from Sedona to visit the Saguaro National Park near Tucson. These guys are amazing! Able to reach 70ft (20m) in height they are exclusive to Sonoran Desert (Southern Arizona and Mexico). They grow in these forests that's very, very striking to see. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you make the effort to see them. #Gplus
