Day/Week View Update

Day and WeekView have gotten an update to bring them in line with Month view and the new widget. Lollipop users also get to benefit from a new animation into Event Info from these views.

Month View Rework

So here's the proposed month view rework, it's Google Calendar-esque, but we've implemented a few key advantages:

• One extra event per day
• Current month is a distinct color from adjacent months
• Number of extra events not shown
• Week numbers (Enabled in settings)

Let me know what you think!

Getting there Google..

Month view is coming (back) to Google Calendar for Android

In February, we made lots of improvements to the Google Calendar app for Android based on your feedback (http://goo.gl/uzzbDd). Over the next few days, we're happy to be adding more of the updates you’ve asked for:

● See even more events at a glance with Month view on phones.
● See the color of events when jumping to a date.
● Easily switch views now that they are listed in the navigation drawer.

You can download the app on Google Play: www.google.com/calendar/android

PS: We're working on bringing many improvements to the iPhone app as well. Thanks for the ongoing support and feedback.

I'd love to have multicolored bars in Split view. So I can see at a glance if there are business private or other events.

Link based Event Invites

Setting up meetings with others just got a whole lot easier.

From the next update, you'll be about to select a bunch of times you're available for a meeting, and have Today produce a link for you.

Simply send this link to whoever your meeting with, and Today will show them all the times you've suggested.

Once they've chosen a time/date that suits them too, Today will create the event on both people's calendar, automatically.

That's why I was curious, +Jack Underwood. I figured such a feature would require a server component, or some API wizardry.

Why does the FAB button have larger vertical padding than the horizontal one?

+Jack Underwood looks amazing. Could you add an option to control the fonts of the events on the calendar. The fonts for some reason look big and bold on my S6 Edge and on settings I have fonts set to tiny... Great job mate.

Today's link-based invite system now has a fallback, meaning you can safely use it with Android users that don't currently have it installed.
wants to invite you to a meeting. Download Today Calendar to respond! Get it on Google Play.

What better about Google Calendar vs Today?

More specifically, what do you need to move over?

Updated Daily/Weekly View Interaction

• Event's no longer created by double tapping a cell
• Long press a cell to select it (can select multiple)
• Single tap selected cell(s) to interact

If only one cell is select, you'll be taken to the new event screen.

If more than one cell is selected, you'll see the new "Create shareable link" dialog.

Would there be any chance of making it easier to clear a day? If you have 4 or 5 events and need to clear a week it takes forever. Thanks!

If/When you use the Day/Week view, do you add events by tapping the appropriate cell twice?

+Jack Underwood I would like to suggest an integration with an app that has tasks / reminders. My favorite is +TickTick , as it allows recurring tasks/ recurring reminders / flexible reminders. But, surely, many would ask for Todoist (does the same, but has some basic features that are paid). Just my two cents.
