Sometimes "you CAN get there from here (with extreme inconvenience)" is WAY more frustrating than "you can't get there from here"

Amtrak cancelled the Bus that would have connected me to the train to Oakland. So, given that the Reno to Sacramento bus is also cancelled for similar reasons instead of a 2 hours bus ride plus a 2 hours train ride for $55, these are my options:

Leave at 5:30am, catch the 20x to Carson Valley, which becomes the 19x to Carson City, run to the RTC intercity to Meadowood Mall, catch a crosstown bus to the airport, wait 4 hours, catch a flight to LAX, change planes and get to Oakland and arrive at 9:45pm. (Net increase in price $171+)

Leave at 1:30pm the previous day, catch the same busses but with a 2 hours layover in Carson City, arrive too late for the evening flight, spend the night in Reno and catch either the expensive morning flight (net price increase of $209+) or the California Zephyr (which, honestly, I have always kinda wanted to ride) from the train station at 6:30 the next day, arrive in Emeryville at 4:10pm then catch BART to the infamous Fruitvale Station and catch a two bus odyssey across Oakland. (Net price increase of $41 to $100 depending on the motel cost, but sold out.)

Rental car: $70 in rental fees, $40 in gas, $110 in milage fees, and the inconvenience of making someone else drive 450 miles. Impossible anyway as I have only a debit card and no drivers license.
