Great talk from Jack despite the low quality video. Good audio for a workout. Jacks busy doing while his detractors sit in front of a computer.

Contrary to popular current mythology (and the History Channel’s Vikings television show), dying in battle was not a ticket to sex with Valkyries, getting drunk on mead, and partying with Odin in V...

Excellent essay. A warrior shouldn't train with victory in mind. If anything, death should be his ever present thought. And the reason for that training should be to make the body, mind and spirit into iron and the glory of his tribe.

My comments featured in a Breitbart piece on modern masculinity.
"My generation of boys is f**ked," says Rupert, a young German video game enthusiast I've been getting to know over the past few months. "Marriage is dead. Divorce means you're screwed for life. Women have given up on monogamy, which makes them uninteresting to us for any serious relationship or raising a family. That's just the way it is. Even if we take the risk, chances are the kids won't be ours. In France, we even have to pay for the kids a ...

No matter what society and the media are trying to tell you, masculinity is not an antiquated concept. Jack Donovan, author of The Way of Men, explains why.

Facebook is blocking this link now, calling it "unsafe." Best essay I've ever read on the topic.
I don't want to hear your whining about 'microaggressions' and 'trigger warnings.' Those aren't trauma. Besides, coming to terms with pain is part of growing up.

“Who run the world?” asks Beyoncé in her recent hit song, before answering unequivocally: “Girls.” Her record was the first many had heard of this change of leadership—but it makes you think, doesn’t it? What would the world be like if it were actually true? If civilisation were left in female hands, would we live in a utopia free from violence, rape and urine-spattered toilet seats? Or would we, as feminist academic Camille Paglia once cruelly s...

It's a good article but it's wrong to lay this at the feet of JJ Bachofen. Thats not what I got out of "Mutterrecht."  The idea that matriarchy preceeded patriarchy is at least as old as the story of Theseus and Hippolyta.

On this day in 1970, #Mishma showed us how to protest in style. Take hostages armed only with swords, give a speech from a balcony, commit ritual suicide. Like a boss.

Bartenders are rude and slow. Bar closes early. Rooms are small. Accounting is rude and sketchy. Morrison Clark's accounting staff handles the Henley Pary Hotel's accounting. I was booked to stay there as the guest of an outside firm and left my card for incidentals. I never made a reservation personally. Twice over the next 6 months, they charged my credit card, without any additional notice or explanation, because of a dispute with the company that booked me. Accounting staff is rude and difficult to get on the phone. I would never stay at the Morrison-Clark or the Henley Park hotel again, and would advise anyone to select a different hotel.

I've been to a few CrossFit gyms, and they can feel like cults or pyramid schemes or go-girl empowerment seminars. Coach Lyman keeps CrossFit Immense no-bullshit and professional. Show up, warm up, do the demo, do the work, get in shape. Has a good eye for pushing people who want or need to be pushed, but he's not a hand-holder. CrossFit is a good, extremely effective way to improve your *overall* strength and conditioning, and this gym delivers. I've recommended it to two relatively in shape pals and both have agreed.

Bought a deal online for a free lesson and some range time. Staff was friendly and relaxed--had a lot of fun. I'd recommend it and may try it again sometime.
