That's why people sit for hours, or days, or years studying a topic. Every once in a while, you get that "OMG!" moment.

Now that is how you change your government. Good for them!
Half of the members of the City Council in Ferguson, Mo., will be African-American following the city’s first election since the shooting death of Michael Brown by a police officer.

Why You Should Buy from Warby Parker
or
How You Get Ripped Off With Corporate Vision Plans and Pretend Competition

I have no association with Warby Parker

It goes back to Luxottica, where the top two execs made a combined $89 million in 2013. They were the #1 and #2 top paid exec in Italy, and another exec there was #4. Luxottica makes a 60% profit margin on your freakishly expensive glasses.

If you use the vision plan Eye-Med, you pay a certain amount per month to get a discount on your glasses. Did you know that Luxottica, the company that owns Eye-Med, also owns the shops where you can get those discounts, and many of the brands that you can purchase as well? Essentially, you are paying them the full price in advance!

Pearl Vision and LensCrafters are owned by Luxottica. You may choose to buy Oakley, Oliver Peoples, Persol, or Ray-Ban frames. You may go to Sunglass Hut for your sunglasses if you don't wear prescription lenses. All of these companies and brands are owned by Luxottica. Luxottica also runs the eye-wear branches of Armani, Chanel, Prada, and Ralph Lauren.

So, stop paying the eye-wear tax that lines the coffers of Luxottica. Save money and buy from CostCo, Warby-Parker, or other independent companies.

Really? Do we need to treat anyone this way? NO real man would talk this way to a woman!
The actor received a barrage of obscenities and threats this week for expressing her opinion online.

Please take a few moments to listen to the recording of this incident.

Do we really need people like her on T.V.? Even her apology was centered on herself, not the poor woman she mistreated.

When I saw that Ted Cruz announced his candidacy for POTUS at Liberty University, I thought, "dear God". No, really. Just "dear God".

However, I want to change that now, and say, "Dear God, Ted Cruz needs You more than You need Ted Cruz".

Ever think of it this way? Jesus does...

Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.*

Disclaimer: I am a resident with no ties to the staff, management or owners. I am posting under my own name because I stand behind what I say. I gain no benefit at all for posting my review. Summary: Lots of dogs, lots of kids, GREAT staff, GREAT amenities. Good maintenance. For new construction (small kitchen, poor soundproofing) they are a very good value for our money. We have been here just under a year. Our rent increase for the next year's lease is only $30 / mo - the lowest I have had in Oregon and 1/10th of the increase at our previous location. The staff has been friendly and helpful without exception. The receptionist is outstanding, the leasing agents friendly and accomodating, and the management is responsive. The maintenance people range from average to outstanding - no problems with any of them. The entire staff really cares about the residents - they really do! They have 4 very high quality computers & a printer, all for residents to use without cost. No junk. They have a well-appointed movie theater that seats about 25. The pool is large. They have an indoor half-court basketball court and new Cybex workout equipment in the gym. They don't mind if you hang pictures, or even paint the walls! We were allowed to use our own washer with no complaint. No place is perfect and this is no exception. The kitchens are small and don't have much storage. As someone said, you WILL hear the people above you. The apartment doors hinges are spring-loaded and you will hear it if your neighbors don't stop it from slamming. There are a lot of dogs here and you WILL hear them bark, especially when people take them outside. We hear the MAX in the Summer because we are right next to the tracks, but we got used to it really fast. About the kids - kids are kids everywhere. Teens are teens everywhere. They play, they run, they scream. They have two playgrounds here with playground equipment. You WILL hear them run down the halls sometimes. However, I have never had a single child or group of children be disrespectful or threatening to me in any way. I even had a boy in one group offer to help me carry my groceries and others hold the door for me.
