This distance between where you are now and where you want to be is not likely as great as the distance you have already traveled. Allow your successes thus far to be the driving indicator, not the journey which remains.

LEAD WITH YOUR OWN DEFINITION OF SUCCESS

Your influence is significant beyond your imagination. Wherever you are in your career, your educational track, your social life or your “online life” people are watching you. Don’t allow your fear of failure or the internal perception you haven’t yet ”made it” to tarnish the success you have experienced. This distance between where you are now and where you want to be is not likely as great as the distance you have already traveled. Allow your successes thus far to be the driving indicator, not the journey which remains.

The best public communicators in history, whether a motivational speaker, preacher or business leader have discovered this truth: stories sell! To gain buy in, to sell new ideas, to complete a business transaction, to make a difference in the lives of students, employees or potential clients you must connect emotionally!

LEAD WITH PATIENCE

Everyone gets exasperated at some point. The light won’t change fast enough. The coffee pour over got lost in the shuffle and never poured. The server forgot to make that special requested change to the regular menu item. An employee just doesn’t get it and keeps making the same mistake. Frustration, not life altering delays generally cause us to lose our cool. The reality of not getting what we want when we want it. My grandchildren react the same way. Guess what? Their children. We expect it. #coffee #lighting #servers #leadershipdevelopment #johnmaxwell #jlorennorris #anxiety

CALM DOWN. SLOW DOWN. BE PATIENT. THE REWARD WILL BE WORTH IT.

If you don’t see yourself getting unstuck, you will remain stuck. No one can do ”unstuck” TO YOU OR FOR YOU. Worse yet, your body and brain will pay the price for the impact produced by your mind.

PERCEIVE YOUR SUCCESS AND YOU WILL FIND IT

LEAD YOUR OWN CHANGE

Self perception has one major draw back. It is the SELF who perceives it. That perception may have no bearing in reality, for better or worse. However, that perception is the chief limitation of success and transformation.

If that statement is beyond you, it’s time to invest in a coach.

When we have prepared for the battle, the game, the contest, the interview or debate and we are persistent enough to stay in the game we have a greater chance of coming out on top. This is true of any organization.

Staying power is more linked to the WILL TO WIN than the SKILL TO WIN.

LEAD WITH THE WILL TO WIN

It is true, talent goes a long way. It’s also true, talent will sometime lose to luck and persistence. Just understand “luck” always favors the prepared. What does this tell us? When we have prepared for the battle, the game, the contest, the interview or debate and we are persistent enough to stay in the game we have a greater chance of coming out on top. This is true of any organization.

“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” John Maxwell

The investment leaders make in people is tremendous. The time, the expense and the emotional investment mounts up quickly. Unfortunately, the ROI on people is ambiguous at best. After tens of thousands of dollars in training, direct relationships with your clients entrusted to them, product knowledge and inside understanding and the least loyal ream members may decide to compete against you!! #training #investments #expenses #mounting #directives #quickness
