Listening to John Patitucci Electric Guitar Quartet's "Brooklyn" album on Apple Music: https://itun.es/us/9dkh6
I remember his very fist solo album, back in '87...so much has happened since then! Great sound, great playing.

A very Merry Christmas to all that celebrate with their loved ones.

Thank you, +James Spencer for telling me about Mark Knopfler's Shangri-La album. Very cool sound, and that guitar tone!

Thanks, Don.

In advance of the delivery of the iPhone 6S Plus, these are the steps I’m proposing to swap over my existing iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch running watchOS 2. The end game is to make the process as smooth as possible, and not lose any data either on the…

This type of movement and interaction with the Stick really gets you into a mantra-like state, I find. You can just let go of any preconceived musical idea, and move about the board, looking for colors and feels. There's a lot more here than meets the eye—and ears.

Thank you for sharing, this is wonderful. Your fluidity when playing scalar passages is great. What a great way to stretch your playing on the bass side! May I suggest the pair of Menuets from that same suite? I know your musicality will shine on those as well. I'll be right here... ;-)

Very fluid and musical, Greg. Your comfort level with the instrument keeps reaching new heights.

You know what? That Taylor Swift interview with Zane Low was actually really good. And what a venue. Loved the "behind the scenes" aerial shots.

Who's tried this test?
A hi-def test for your ears (and your audio equipment): Listen to these songs and see if you can tell the difference between an MP3 and an uncompressed audio file.

Update: I listened on a pair of BX5a speakers through an Apogee Duet 1st generation. Will share results once I hear back from a few of you...are you in?

A note to all who are going to the URL listed above and are scratching their head: don't forget the underscore between "free" and "hands":

Greg, great exercise!! Thanks for sharing, Greg. Nice variations during the last portion on your way to the end, very cool.

Very, very cool. Can you tell us a little about your setup on this one? So many color options, it sounds like.

Great memories. I was at that concert. Absolutely incredible atmosphere. My favorite part remains Bob Mintzer's bass clarinet improv. right after the first song ("The Chicken"). Amazing musicality and feel. (Only downside to this post is the unbelievably nasty comments and back-and-forths below...wow.)
Merci, Henrique.
