Roopanjali...A Celebration of Music & Dance. This is JETUKs annual classical performances event.

Sri Bhagavad Ramanuja as a part of his Divya Desha yatra goes to
Melkote. There, Lord Srimannarayana comes in to his dream and asks for renovation of temple which was ruined in invasions by Delhi rulers.
The Lord also shows him where the main deity is hidden.
Yatiraja takes up the task and completes the construction of temple and goes to Delhi to get the Utsava Murti of Lord Sri Sampatkumara. In Delhi he convinces the king of Delhi and gets the deity.
The princess of Delhi adores the deity expresses her grief to the king. The king orders his soldiers to get back the deity from Sri Ramanuja. Then the tribal people save Sri Ramanuja and deity from soldiers.
Sri Ramanuja comes to Melkote and installs the deity at the temple and allows the tribal people in to the temple which was a great reform during those times.
The princess of Delhi comes to Melkote and lives in the temple with great devotion. She finally gives up her life duly uniting with the God. Impressed by her devotion, Sri Ramanuja installs a deity named ‘Bibi Nachiyar’ at the lotus feet of the Lord Sampatkumara. This act of Sri Ramanuja shows his equal treatment to the devotees irrespective of their religion.
This ballet is written by Sri Samudrala Ramanujam and music composed by Sri Vadali Phaninarayana, Choreography by Smt. Samudrala Madhavi Ramanujam.
