I've used AVCR several times over the years. They are always very responsive, and are in constant communication while setting up my appointment and while they're working on my computers. They have convenient evening hours for drop off and pick up. I think they're expensive but I also haven't really comparison shopped so I could be wrong. However, I'm happy to pay for excellent customer service and quality work. I've never been disappointed and I highly recommend them.

I used Duryea's Flower Shop to send flowers to my aunt in Freeport for her birthday. I usually use 1-800-Flowers but decided to use a local flower shop this time. Big mistake. My aunt's birthday was on Sunday. Not Saturday. I placed my order online. My order confirmation states that delivery was for Sunday. Additionally, someone called me immediately after I placed my order and confirmed the Sunday delivery. The flowers were delivered to my aunt on Saturday. Again, not her birthday. On Sunday I called the flower shop to discuss the fact that I did not receive what I'd paid for (flowers delivered to my aunt on her birthday). I spoke to two women in the flower shop. In addition to not providing the service that I paid for (flowers delivered to my aunt on her birthday), both women were EXTREMELY rude, non-apologetic, and neither offered any compensation or consolation. They told me that if I wanted my money back or even a credit, that they would go and retrieve the flowers from my aunt. Of course I'm not going to agree to that because how rude and tacky would that be? After going back an forth with these two ladies for some time, I told them that I have a lot of family in Freeport and asked them if they were telling me that they did not want any of my future business. I also told them that I would be leaving a Yelp review detailing my experience. I hung up the phone extremely frustrated and a very unsatisfied customer but figured that was the end of it. Five minutes later they called me back to say that they had called my aunt and told her that I had cancelled the order. WHAT?! First of all, I did NOT cancel the order. Secondly, I did NOT tell them to retrieve the flowers or to call my aunt. Thirdly, HOW RUDE AND TACKY!!! Please take this warning. Do NOT use Dureyea's flower shop. Do yourself a favor and go to 1-800-Flowers. I've never had anything but a seamless order and delivery with them.
