During the first few weeks of google+, staring at photographs was a big part of my experience here, I was a crappy amateur photographer and +Alan Shapiro was one of the first professional photographers I circled and admired.

Nowadays photographs are still a good portion of my g+ daily browsing (although there's definitely more variety), I'm still a crappy amateur photographer, and today is Alan's birthday, judging from "trends" (that didn't exist back then, thank you Twitter and +Chris Messina !)
