Plus One Collection - Behind the Scenes - Prints
And so it begins.
Starting on the printing job for all Limited Edition books which comes with each copy. Here's a fresh print off the printer - "Frozen Music" by +Joel Tjintjelaar
. One of you will get it with your copy.
Tell you what - seeing these images in print is a powerful experience. With all the beautiful screens we all have, there is still nothing like a tangible print on paper. It just took my breath off.
For the curious of you - I'm using Epson 3880 and K3 inks. I'm going to try several papers before I settle on one - but the one I'm leaning towards for B&W is a beautiful Gloss Baryta by Harman. Out of many I tried, in my mind this one is the best for rich blacks and is the closest to gelatin silver prints as we can get.
Square prints will be sized 7.5"x7.5" - which I think is ideal for this size. That's how Michael Kenna prints all his work too.
Also excited about more great news coming tomorrow, but will wait till the rest of you wake up.
While I'm printing - any questions?
