Overall I was impressed with the service and suite my daughter and I stayed in. Compared to hotels in the area that are twice the price this is definitely where the value is, without compromising quality and comfort. I highly recommend, and will stay there again.

Parties are almost promoted by the night staff by inaction after several hours of phone calls to the front desk. Started complaining about noise at 10pm, didn't get resolved until 3am when the police showed up to evict the two rooms. Plumbing fixtures are falling off the walls--toilet needed to be fixed so the tank actually filled up with water while I was here. Pool and work out room are in the sub-basement... basically a bomb shelter (you could hide a body down there and no one would find it for weeks). There's only so much you can do with a "fresh coat of paint". Elevators sound like they're about to drop out of the sky and if you look in the closets of the rooms (even the suites) you can see water damage on the ceiling. They definitely tried to cover it up and most likely never fixed the underlying problem. The food is average at best but the service is pretty good. Go to the Westin one block down and save yourself the headache.

The rooms are huge and decorated in a very modern style. It reminds me of a Japanese look very simple, but elegant. Plasma Screen TV’s are a bonus and it was extremely quiet. There was a bachelor party going on 2 doors down, didn’t hear a sound. The price was also reasonable especially for Calgary. I travel for my job so when I say a hotel is good, it is. Note to the Traveler during the weekend, downtown turns into a ghost town so if you are looking for a quiet place during the weekend this is for you. Will be repeat customer.

WOW! This hotel was ideally located in the heart of Calgary. we rented a car but we didn't need it with the hotel located so close to everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel staff was SO HELPFUL! I think we were a little annoying asking for directions etc. but they were so nice EVERY time and directed us well we never got lost. We got an upgrade when we arrived and our room was AWESOME. This is def not your standard hotel the room had everything including 10x mirrors, curling irons, straighteners, full flavored coffee machine. If you didn't have everything in your room then you could walk into the lobby where there was a gift shop with anything you could possibly want. The downside, they do charge for parking $38 a DAY! ouch that cramps the budget but is a good location with plenty of spots. They also charge for internet $9.99 :( Other than that I thought this hotel was amazing I would def return without any issues. I feel like I got SO MUCH for my $$!

If staying in the hotel try and avoid a room on the north side of the building as the noise from the elevators is unreal. Have stayed in the building a couple of times but recently had a north-facing room, and the difference in noise from the elevator shaft is phenomenal. Hotel does not iron sheets or bedding, so crumpled look has one wondering whether it was changed prior to arrival. Toilet in room would not flush as the chain in the tank was no longer connected to the plunger. This was something I fixed as it would have been embarrassing calling the desk since the toilet had been used. Oriental lady in restaurant got the breakfast order wrong and seems to text a lot on her phone. Not a great stay.
