Look what just arrived! The July/August issue of Calabasas Style Magazine. Yes, that's me with a chicken under my arm in a ball gown. And yes, I admit to being just a little bit embarrassed, but honestly - it's pretty close to how we roll around here. The article is entitled "Rule the Roost: Raising Chickens In Your Backyard". If you've ever wondered...? Well here you are! And here's to creating Noble Spaces - in ALL their beautiful and sundry iterations!

Hey Everyone in CT! We were informed about a blog this morning by BuildDirect naming the 15 Best Interior Designers in Hartford. We clicked the link and were delighted to discover that they listed us first - oh that's so nice!
Ps. There is a place to vote at the bottom of the blog!

A quick snap of the bright and shiny new kitchen in a Paramount Ranch Tudor total remodel we recently completed. The house was built in 1985 - the same year that David and I were married (that's right, do the math - 30 years this month!).  This property needed a complete reimagining, and we love how it turned out. We featured before and after photos of its foyer in our article for Calabasas Style magazine's May/June issue out now!

Katherine LaVictoire (the world's best assistant) and I on the "Orange Carpet" for the opening gala of this year's La Cienega Design Quarter's Legends Event. This is our favorite design event of the year, where the best in our industry gather to celebrate the work and share their thoughts. Gets better every year - congratulations to the Board, it was a splendid installment! ‪#‎LCDQ‬ ‪#‎LCDQLA‬ ‪#‎onlyinLCDQLA‬ ‪#‎openinggala‬

The Walled Garden this morning - my favorite spot. It feels like it's always been here... But only two and a half years ago nothing but boulders and debris resided here. #gardendesign

This afternoon we're discussing finishes for a pool remodel that we're working on - colors, tiles and so on, and what materials make a pool the most delicious and inviting.
My hands down favorite interior pool color is a light Tiffany Blue done in Quartzite - a sanded type of permanent finish. Pictured here is the pool I designed for our house on Stoner Drive in West Hartford, CT. This finish application never fades and a Tiffany Blue hue always beckons to be jumped into - even if skies are grey.
Of all the pools I've ever designed or swam in, this one remains my very favorite. With Memorial Day right around the corner, it seems appropriate to be recalling all the joyous time we spent padding barefoot on these bluestone pavers and jumping into that water, and also....what makes a pool a great one or not, as we work to create the best outdoor spaces we can possibly dream up for our clients
