How does cow spleen and artichoke flavoured ice cream sound to you?
The meaning of the phrase "ice cream" varies from one country to another, with terms such as gelato, frozen yoghurt and sorbet being used to describe the variations and styles. There is some speculation over where and when ice cream was invented. Some historians consider it was created in the Persian Empire when people would pour fruit juices over snow, whilst others believe it has origins in China in 200 BC. Vanilla may be the most popular ice c...

"Around the world there are races to suit every taste so, whether you like stairs, drinking, or running around with no pants on, there’s bound to be an event for you:"
If, for some reason, running 26 miles through London's rainy streets doesn't appeal to you (or if you've applied to take part but haven't won a spot in the inexplicably popular race) then maybe you'll need to travel a bit further to find the right competition.

Kangaroos are cute. But their babies? Not so much!

I'm not really sure about this theory because most babies, to me, look a bit like Winston Churchill no matter who the father is. Anyway, it seems that this isn't always the case when it comes to animal babies. These animal mums are obviously a lot more independent than us hu...

Have you ever wondered why spring cleaning is a thing? Here are three different cultures that could be responsible for the yearly tradition…
The long, cold winter nights are over, and thanks to the natural light, we can finally see the filth that’s been hidden in our homes for months. It’s a tradition in many households to have a good clear-out during springtime, but who do we have to blame (or thank) for the spring clean?

Cherry blossom is an important business in #Japan. So much so, that the opening of the buds is documented on the news – daily – during opening season!
In the UK, cherry blossom is just a lovely leaf accompaniment created by the cherry tree at spring time. But in Japan, cherry blossom, known as sakura, is an altogether more important business.

"Local legend says that the jars were made by a race of giants, and that they were used to store giant-sized quantities of alcohol for parties.

"Archaeologists who’ve studied the site, however, believe that this theory is unlikely to be correct."
