Just the mention of bedbugs is enough to send you into a cold sweat if you have ever had them in your home. One of the most effective, efficient methods of killing bedbugs is to use heat: the little pests can’t survive in temperatures of 150 degrees or higher. To build a heating chamber and keep it efficient, a service based on Ohio used InfraStop® foil insulation to trap radiant heat. Learn more about this fascinating project on our blog: http://www.insulationstop.com/radiant-barrier-blog/infrastop-foil-insulation-used-thermal-remediation-building-construction/

Foil insulation from InfraStop®, featuring reflective surfaces and one or two layers of air bubbles between them, is flexible enough to create tailor-made solutions for some notoriously difficult insulation problems. We recommend using pallet covers made from InfraStop® to protect loads that are sensitive to temperature changes; this easy, inexpensive solution can prevent the loss of product and save money by blocking radiant heat transfer during transport. Your choice between a foil/foil or foil/white InfraStop® product will depend on what is happening on either side of the insulation layer. If you need to block radiant heat in both directions, for instance in an attic application, a radiant barrier or bubble foil product with foil surfaces on both sides is probably your ideal choice. Products with a white poly layer, though, provide increased strength and a finished look that is great for interior areas like basements. http://www.insulationstop.com/

Square edge, staple tab, and quick seam: Understanding what these three terms refer to will help you choose the one that is best suited to your foil insulation project. That choice will accelerate your project and also give it the best chance of lasting as long as possible to protect your home. Check out the definitions on our website, and if you aren’t sure which one is right for you, just give us a call and ask our friendly staff! http://www.insulationstop.com/ordering/

You probably already know that it’s extremely cold and extremely hot in space, depending on where the sun is—so how can astronauts’ suits be so relatively thin and still keep the cold/heat out? Reflective insulation plays an enormous role; radiant heat is the dominant form in space since there’s no atmosphere, and a reflective metal surface is very effective at blocking that radiant heat. Here on planet Earth, we have three forms of heat transfer, but radiant heat is still an important one. http://www.insulationstop.com/faq/

Tile and hardwood floors get pretty cold in winter, causing those of us who like to walk around barefoot to dance around until we reach the carpet. Did you know that a Saturday afternoon spent in your basement with a roll of InfraStop® foil insulation could put an end to those chilly floors? Just nail the insulation to your basement ceiling, following our easy online instructions, and put your slippers back in the closet for good. http://www.insulationstop.com/insulate-basement-ceiling

You’ll get a great introduction to our pipe wrap InfraStop® products by viewing the demo video on YouTube. The linear wrap application has an adhesive strip, making it easy for one person to create a tight seal around the pipe with no additional products or equipment needed. With the spiral wrap, you’ll use a narrow length of foil insulation, secured with reflective foil tape. Both strategies are super simple; watch the video and place your order today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zu8DK7rcTw

Don’t stand for wasted energy in your home throughout the rest of the cold season. A roll of InfraStop® reflective foil insulation will give you a great start on wrapping and covering the key sources of wasted energy—spots like HVAC ducts, water pipes, and your water heater. On our website, you can find out how to most efficiently wrap these utilities and slow the transfer of radiant heat into cold areas like crawlspaces and attics. http://www.insulationstop.com/

An animal nutrition center in Missouri was building a very large metal building and wanted to avoid the stifling heat that would undoubtedly fill it during the sunny summer months. To keep the temperature in the building regulated for the people and animals that would have to spend a lot of time in it, the builders chose InfraStop®, the perfect material to line the walls and ceiling. They asked us to customize their white double bubble insulation roll size to make installation easier. See the results here: http://www.insulationstop.com/radiant-barrier-blog/infrastop-used-36000-sq-ft-animal-nutrition-center-missouri/
