The Chinese Room, developers of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther has confirmed that it will be “going dark” for a few months after a number of developers faced layoffs. A blog post by Dan Pinchbeck explains that a number of situations aligned which put the studio in a bad place including health issues and pitching their new title now that “So Let Us Melt” had come to an end in the development cycle.

Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay trailer for Code Vein out of Tokyo Game Show 2017.
In Code Vein you and your partner take to the dungeons fighting enemies and acquiring their “gifts” by using Blood Veils to drain your opponents. The gifts increase your strength, weaken enemies and provide new weapon abilities. Your experience also changes based on which partner you select to take with you into the dungeons as each has their own combat style and backstory.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are bringing the sequel to the 2016 title Attack on Titan to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Switch and Xbox One in 2018 with Attack on Titan 2.

Bluehole Studios, the team behind PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds isn’t too happy at all the attention their game is getting from other developers. In a statement from Bluehole’s Vice President and Executive Producer Chang Han Kim it seems they don’t feel that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as Epic prepares to release Fortnite’s Battle Royale Mode.

Nintendo has upped the security on the Nintendo Network by adding the ability to add two-factor authentication (2FA) to Nintendo Online Accounts.
To set up your account with two-factor authentication, head over to the Nintendo login web portal and log-in. Go to the Sign-in and security option on the left. From here, you will need to verify your email if you haven’t already done so and then click Edit next to 2-Step Verification settings.
The whole process takes less than five minutes to set up.

Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 Faction Rallies will be available starting on the 26th September 2017. Starting at 2 am Pacific / 5 am Eastern / 10 am UK / 11 am Europe you’ll be able to pick a faction and fight on behalf of them and their beliefs all in exchange for some cool gear.

Frontier is getting into the Halloween spirit with the latest paid DLC, Planet Coaster Spooky Pack.
Like an overeager retailer or kid excited for all the Trick or Treat candy, Frontier is releasing the pack early enough to be in the wrong month to Halloween. On the 25th September 2017, the Spooky Pack contains two new powered tracked rides, a spookily themed wall set and static and animated attachments, special effects, shop fronts, path extras, doors and windows, fences, triggerable coaster doors, themed custom signs and facility signs, and themed hats for your Planco avatars. It also brings a new entertainer called King Ghoster who goes around your park spooking your visitors.

In an update that is rolling out to Xbox One Alpha Preview members today, streamers to Microsoft owned Mixer will be able to plug in a USB camera to stream footage. The feature is already available to those who have a Kinect plugged into their Xbox One.
The feature will allow USB cameras to capture video but not audio meaning you will still need a microphone or headset to include your voice in streams.
