World Surf League Champion 11 times, Kelly Slater clearly didn't stop learning when he reached the top. As someone who is 50, I can tell you, getting better at flying is also a lifelong journey.

At an airshow I admire the biplanes, the jets, the extras, the smoke and the sounds. But the persistence of the pilots to get this good is the most amazing.

Want to make better decisions? Be a better pilot? Maybe, just maybe, my wife (and science) is right. I need more good sleep after flying red-eye's or early shows:

Article:
For most of us, eight hours of sleep is excellent and six hours is no good, but what if we split the difference?

“I still don’t think there is a winning formula. It’s really just working your butt off.”

~ Mikaela Shiffrin, youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history. She is also the current world champion in slalom. Both quotes from great article in this month's 'The Red Bulletin': http://bit.ly/2guz118
