Help was friendly, room was clean, well priced for the great location and the fireplace was awesome.
Response from the owner - a week ago
William, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay -- it sounds like you had a nice, relaxing time! I'm happy to hear our prime downtown Santa Fe location helped add to your trip. As you found out, our property offer travelers a unique historic New Mexico architectural lodging experience found only at Pueblo Bonito. Many traditional New Mexico cultural features can be enjoyed at our inn- both inside and outside our rooms! We're thrilled you took advantage of burning the real wood burning kiva fireplace in your room. Thanks for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience at our 154 yr old adobe Native American pueblo-style downtown Santa Fe bed breakfast. I hope we can look forward to seeing you again if you're ever out this way. Take care! -Amy Behm, Owner

We love staying at Pueblo Bonito when we visit to Santa Fe. It's a nice walk to the Plaza. The staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is casual and comfy. We enjoy breakfast in the morning at "the big table" so we can talk with and meet other visitors. Give it a try!
Response from the owner - a year ago
We always love seeing you, Susan! Thanks very much for the kind words and sharing your experiences of our inn with others. We agree, we have a "prime" location which allows guests to walk easily to the Plaza and all historic downtown sites - so convenient! We're glad you enjoy our breakfast time too. We make sure you're well prepared for a busy day of traveling or site seeing as our complimentary breakfast buffet is full of tasty items! It is fun hearing and sharing with other visitors' travel tales and insights, etc. We try our best to provide all our guests with a comfortable, relaxing, authentic Santa Fe vacation experience that is resonably priced and memorable. Thanks again for your review, and we look forward to your next visit! Sincerely, Amy Behm, Owner

We had a lovely two-night stay with our infant. The location was great for walking to downtown, the railyard district, etc. And the hosts were very helpful, sharing advice on what to do's that fit our needs and interests for this last-minute, little-planned family vacation. Onsite convenient parking was great, lots of choice for breakfast, our room was comfy, and we loved the cozy fire to come "home" to. We had a great stay!
Response from the owner - 2 years ago
Thrilled to hear that, Kim! Thanks for leaving a review here on Google+ Local. It was our pleasure to host you and your little one and offer advice on what to see while you were in town. Our free parking and proximity to many Santa Fe attractions is a big benefit of staying at Pueblo Bonito Inn as well, and a warm fire to come home to is always nice, isn't it? And our wide variety of options at breakfast helps you start your day with gusto. Thanks again for the kind words. We're looking forward to your next visit! -Amy Behm, Owner

Great value, great location, great hospitality and ambiance. We've stayed here twice and will surely be back again. We've been in two different rooms, and they are altogether charming and clean, with a great New Mexico ambiance. Get cozy, settle in, and make yourself a fire in the kiva. The innkeepers and staff are great, and the off-season prices, especially, can't be beat. The location is also great: easy to park your car safely in a quiet area and walk to the plaza and area restaurants, and also close to Trader Joe's if you're into that. I've enjoyed early morning jogs up Canyon Road towards the Dale Ball trails as well, so it's a good launching point to the local outdoors. Breakfast is simple and more akin to a European breakfast: besides coffee, juice, and tea, fix yourself an oatmeal with fruit and granola, grab some fruit (bananas, melon, grapefruit), as well as bagels with a selection of spreads, french toast/waffles, and hardboiled eggs. The knock is that you might not get an authentic NM breakfast this way, but the cost and location makes up for it, as other B&B's we've stayed at with a varied menu are usually twice the price. And there's enough different food to have different things each day. So this is a better situation for getting up in the morning, grabbing breakfast before a morning of skiing, hiking, or biking, and then grab a brunch/lunch later in the day at a place like Tia Sophia's to get your chile fix. This inn is more conducive to exploring your surroundings during the day and then returning to a cozy room at night. So breakfast could be better in comparison to other B&Bs, and there are certainly some very nice properties in Santa Fe: go ahead and walk through some of them and check out the hotel bars, but also check out the prices. I'm still rating it 5 Stars not in comparison to places which are significantly more extensive, but because this inn gives everything it promises, and more, for a great value.

At the very beginning of our arrival we found ourselves in a great, friendly conversation with the Native American staff member manning the front desk. Next was walking into a well maintained, quaint and cozy room with a wood burning fireplace. It was simply perfect for our stay. Included with the stay was a great breakfast layout.. Fresh fruit, orange juice, bagels with a variety of spreads and delicious tamales. My daughter said they were the best she had ever had..One change I would recommend is upgrading the coffee to a fresh ground bean from a local roaster. Co-owner Amy made mention of the superb coffee they serve. Yuck! We walked to the music store Good Stuff and had some fresh ground Sumatra from a local vendor. I will see you again this August

"Simply perfect" is what we aim for, John! Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving a review. I'm glad you found your room to be very comfortable--quaint and cozy are two perfect adjectives to describe them. It's also an honor to hear our tamales called the best ever as we feel they're extremely tasty. Thanks to your daughter for that! I appreciate your input on the coffee, as well. Ours is freshly prepared each morning, so it's disappointing if yours didn't taste that way, but thanks for letting me know. See you again in August! -Amy Behm, Owner

I had the pleasure of staying at Pueblow Bonito to ring in the New Year and I loved everything about my stay from the wonderful family that runs the B&B to the personality of the room we stayed in. Breakfast was excellent each morning with the homemade tamales being the the star of the menu. The B&B is literally within a short walk of downtown Santa Fe and we barely had to use our vehicle to go anywhere during our stay. I would highly recommend this charming B&B to anyone wanting to get the most out of their stay in Santa Fe.

Thanks very much for ringing in the new year with us, Jaime! It was our pleasure hosting you, and I hope you got to cross everything off your list during your visit. It certainly doesn't hurt that Pueblo Bonito Inn is just a short walk to downtown Santa Fe and all the festivities! Of course, our newest breakfast addition to our 7 ft buffet are handmade red chili pork tamales which have become all the "rave" of our guests- like yourself! So glad you were here to enjoy thier introduction during the holidays. Don't worry, they are here to stay as are all the other popular breakfast items offered- including gluten and dairy free! A delicious breakfast is always the perfect way to get a great day started. And, like parking and wifi, it's all included with your stay. Thanks again, and best of luck in 2014! Hope to see you if you're in Santa Fe. Sincerely, Amy Behm, Owner

i called to get a reservation for upwards 2 or 3 months. after talking to "amy"; i asked if i could bring an extra tv with dvd player to put in the bedroom of the suite i was getting. "amy" said i could not and after going back and forth a couple of times of why i could not; she then said the suite was no longer available. she then hung up on me and continued to hang up everytime i called back to talk to the manager. very, very disrespectful. with service like that, they do not deserve to make a profit

Mr John McDonald has been reported to the Santa Fe Police for harrassment after leaving threatening phone message which have been preserved for evidence for future legal action. Amy, the owner, spoke directly with Mr McDonald who didn't want to understand the facility limitations explained to him. Instead he became unreasonable and irrate on the phone. He repeatedly called the inn with threats which included: "You don't know who you're dealing with and "you don't want to mess with me." We try very hard to accomodate guests request, but at times are limited by our historic facility. In this case, Mr McDonald's needs were oriented to a motel/hotel not a small historic b&b- something he was unwilling to understand.
