Arisia 2017 is looking for volunteer for the following staff position:
Publications Coordinator
Arisia produces several publications, including the pocket program, souvenir book, restaurant guide, and at-con newsletters. Each of these has a person responsible for them, and we need someone to coordinate it all. You'd be keeping track of progress against timelines, helping publications get the information they need when they need it, and coordinating between publications that need the same information to help Arisia speak with one voice. This position requires good negotiation skills and attention to detail.
If interested in this position please email comms@arisia.org

Arisia wants to hear YOUR opinions about what we should be communicating. What do you want to know about the convention, when do you want to know it, and how do you want to be notified?

We're hosting a Communications Town Hall this month to find that out. We'll be discussing Arisia's website, apps, print publications, and social media presence. Everyone is welcome to take part, whether you're on staff or are excited to go to Arisia for the first time.

The town hall will take place between noon and 2 PM on Sunday, May 22nd, in MIT Building 66 (25 Ames St, Cambridge, MA 02142), Room 168. Can't make it physically? We'll be broadcasting the town hall and taking your questions over GoToMeeting. More info and a link to come shortly!

We hope to see you there!

Due to overwhelming demand, We will most likely not be able to honor wait-list requests for sleeping rooms made after October 1st.  There was an overwhelming early response for reservations.  We make every effort to accommodate our members but there are a limited number of rooms available.  We will continue to notify people on the wait list as rooms come available.

Additionally, members may wish to contact friends to make arrangements or to make reservations at the Renaissance Waterfront Boston, which is only a short walk away from the Westin.  Also, watch Arisia social media for any last minute announcements regarding hotel availability.  The link for that can be found here: http://arisia.org/hotel#reserveren

We apologize for the inconvenience and the Innkeeper staff will continue to notify those who made requests as we are able.

If you need to cancel your reservation, contact the Innkeeper and your room will go to the next person on the wait-list.
