Infighting was a great place for me to get started on my fitness journey. Ritchie and the Infighting team are super knowledgeable, and the environment they have fostered is friendly and encouraging. The first step and often hardest step to getting fit is to walk in and just do it. Infighting made it easy and fun. Now, I can't imagine a week without an Infighting workout. ~Tasha.

BEST CLUB IN ALL OF VANCOUVER!! I've trained Martial Arts all my life and I have never met more engaging, likable, hardworking and above all competent instructors than Ritchie Yip and his team. I LOVE training here!!!! : ) If you have ever wanted to try something new to get in shape and re-ignite your passion for healthy living... This is YOUR place! It's not about competing against others it's about working with others to conquer your OLD self and allow your BEST self to emerge! Don't take my word for it ... Go see for yourself (first 30 days are free).

I have trained at Infighting since 2007, so feel that I am somewhat qualified to write a review. Ritchie Yip is without a doubt one of the most technical instructors in the Vancouver area, and quite possibly the country. The level of detail taught, particularly in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes, is second to none. There is no doubt that my game would not be at the level that it is without Ritchie's instruction. He creates a friendly and open environment, that is warm and welcoming whether it's your first time training, or your 500th. If you're looking for a clean, positive atmosphere without attitude and with highly technical instructors, then look no further than Infighting Training Centers.

I resisted getting into martial arts for years (despite loving MMA), until my mate Geoff Wilson brought me along to Ritchie's downtown Vancouver gym to try kickboxing. I was super nervous about going, but I loved it. It was nothing like I expected. Basically you train in pairs as Ritchie teaches the class different moves and combos. He has a way of creating a really tight knit community feeling with everyone there, which makes it super fun - not to mention Ritchie's sense of humour. And there are no boneheads which was a big relief. His style of teaching is as exceptional as it is fun. Best and most enjoyable workout I've ever had. I've already got 2 other friends going and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I always wanted to do martial arts but never signed up growing up as I was caught up in other sports. As such, starting martial arts later in life was exciting but also made me nervous. I signed up for Ritchie's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing classes and felt at home instantly from my first class. It was exciting, fun, safe and a great atmosphere. Ritchie creates a great environment with excellent instruction for individuals of all levels of experience, a big focus on safety which is very important, and a great team environment where everyone is there to help each other get better together. The gym itself has everything you need and the locations are awesome. I have made a lot of great friends from training at Infighting. If I hadn't recently moved away from Vancouver I would never think about training anywhere other than Infighting and would recommend training there without hesitation to anyone.

I've been training with Ritchie Yip on and off for many years. Mostly off :( I still remember my first class and look back now at things I've been able to accomplish as a result of starting my martial arts journey on the right path. I owe Ritchie a great deal of gratitude. I've recommended many people over the years to his school without hesitation. It's an extremely safe and fun environment to train within and everyone at the club is extremely positive and supportive. The gym is impeccably clean and the instruction is the best I've ever experienced.

Getting in class with Ritchie at InFighting was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was never one for the gym: too solitary and, frankly, too boring to maintain motivation. In Ritchie's class, you feel a part of a team straight away. Nobody is there to knock heads, only to help you get better. And there is always such a wide range of experience, that you never feel that you're on your own. Ritchie's teaching is at once challenging and accessible. There is a difference between being an expert on a subject and being able to teach it, and Ritchie has figured it out. In his natural, unique style of instruction, moves are broken down into instinctive, sensible parts that anyone can master with regular practice. It makes class fun because you can feel yourself making progress--and Ritchie notices too, encouraging you along and coaching you through specific elements that help you to improve. You get so into the "dance" of sparring, that you don't even notice the killer workout you're getting until class is over and you're sweating like mad--smiling--relaxed, refuelled and more confident than before. People throw around "changed my life" a bit too casually probably, but in this case it's true. I'm in the best shape of my life in my late 30's, my clothes fit better, and--here's the pleasant surprise part--I've made new, true, friends. It's all Win. --Wade

Having trained in martial arts for most of my life, in various countries, I know that finding a good place to train is difficult. Finding a GREAT place to train is incredibly rare. It requires many different factors to come together in the right way. You need training partners that are both skillful and knowledgeable and who, more importantly, are willing to share that skill and knowledge. You need an environment where people push each other to get better, but know when and how to do so. Most importantly you need a great instructor who understands how to teach people at every level, and how to foster that fantastic learning environment. At Infighting, with Ritchie Yip, you get all of these things. Ritchie has a wealth of martial arts knowledge, and is a gifted teacher. He breaks down techniques in precise detail and dedicates himself to ensuring that everyone can understand the nuances of whatever he teaches. I know I will be learning from Ritchie for years to come.
