Calgary Independent Reporters recently provided a court reporter to take down the speech of former Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. The event was held at the Calgary Convention Centre and our reporter, Alicia Makaruk, did a wonderful job of taking down everything said. Congratulations, Alicia, on a job well done!

This could be really interesting to see the result. Apple may start to be the target of more of this just as Microsoft was.

Is the promise of Social Business for real?
My clients keep asking me if they really need to get into this social business thing on G+ and other social media. My answer is, YES! TODAY, don't wait! Social Business is all about building relationships, just like the traditional goals of sales and marketing. The problem is, most business owners and managers don't understand the technical aspects so they stand on the sidelines and watch. That's a mistake in my opinion. Get someone to help you do it right. If you can't afford a specialist then at least spend the time learning about it and try even a little bit. The research suggests it would be a mistake for companies to ignore social business. If you do it right it can be most rewarding, if you ignore it you'll be missing out. The bottom line is, some new, fresh engagement with your brand is better than none.
