Here's a look at what we are expecting in terms of the areas the lake effect snow band will impact through the rest of the afternoon. The band will be fluid and will move quite a bit during the course of the day. Any areas that get under the band could pick up a quick inch or two of snow with heavier amounts closer to Lake Michigan where 4-7" of snow is possible. The snow band could also create slick and snow covered roads and reduce visibility due to winds gusting up to 30 mph.

A couple rounds of bitterly cold air are coming with below zero temperatures possible yet again across parts of Indiana and Ohio.
The first round of cold arctic air will arrive Thursday Night and Friday with a second round of even colder air Saturday Night and Sunday.

Single digit temperatures are possible Friday Morning with temperatures below zero a good bet across the Northern half of Indiana come Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.

And a third round of Arctic air is a good possibility by the middle of next week.

It's one of our more uncomfortable days in several weeks and temperatures and heat index readings will continue to climb tomorrow and Tuesday. Here's the current heat index readings across the area as of 4:00 PM.
