Promising future for Indian Aviation as most Indian now prefer flying over trains: Survey
Expedia by Northstar, a globally integrated strategic insights consulting firm conducted a research on 3263 adults aged above 18 of India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan, who have flown in the past two years.
The survey revealed that 46% Indians now consider flying a Low Cost Carrier (LLC) over bus ride if they have three family members with them. About 41% Indians are ready to fly a LLC for a flight time up to 3 hours.
A staggering 67% of Indians are ready to replace a train journey with a LLC. The price war between the existing and emerging players of Indian Aviation has benefited the passengers by providing them low fare flights. This has encouraged the youth population of the country to fly frequently.
