Are you going to FENS in Copenhagen? Don't miss the INCF social "The era of sharing in neuroscience" on July 4, co-arranged with the UK Neuroinformatics Node.
Topics:
Data sharing: whether timeseries, images, or pharmacological, data sharing is becoming more and more important
-Code sharing: both to enable other researchers to replicate analyses, and to enable the same tools to be applied to different datasets
- Sharing clinical data across and beyond Europe (using the European CENTER-TBI traumatic brain injury project as an example

Our KnowledgeSpace Working Group is currently looking for individuals willing to test KnowledgeSpace, a community-based encyclopedia for neuroscience supported by a structured lexicon, data, and models, and provide feedback on its usability. The current version of KnowledgeSpace is an early prototype, and we would like to receive some early feedback to help us improve improve the prototype.

If you are interested in participating, please contact mathew@incf.org by March 2016. KnowledgeSpace will be available for testing 1 - 8 March 2016.

Neurodata Without Borders (NWB; www.nwb.org) is a broad initiative to standardize neuroscience data and to remove barriers to data sharing among neuroscientists. A paper describing their first collaborative project, finding a common data format for neurophysiology, has just been published in Neuron. The chosen format was strongly influenced by other existing systems, such as LBNL Brain and the German INCF Node's NIX, and informed by the INCF requirements document.
