#Lowbackpain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide, according to the Global Burden of Disease study 2010. More than 80% of people will experience one or more episodes of low back pain in their life. The #intervertebral_disc (IVD) is responsible for up to 70% of lower back pain. Lower back pain can be debilitating and persistent, and some people suffer repeated episodes. It can also be a cause of leg pain or sciatica. A #wry #neck or #torticollis is characterised sudden by the sudden onset of severe neck pain accompanied by spasm of the neck muscles causing the neck to lean or rotate away from the painful side. This abnormal posture occurs on one side of the neck and is a protective reaction of the body to safeguard the neck. It is very common to wake up with a wry neck and for the pain and muscle tension to then increase progressively over the course of the morning.

Some people only experience pain in one part of their head or behind their eyes, some people experience a pounding sensation inside their whole head, and some people even experience nausea. The pain itself may be dull or sharp and may last for anywhere from a few minutes to a few days.
