In industry and transport, M12 connectors are much used for sensor / activator wiring as well as for BUS systems. Short time-to-market requirements and high cost pressure make it necessary to build systems quickly, flexibly and reliably. During implementation, easy field attachable connectors will play a crucial role.

The new CONEC M12 field attachable connector with crimp connection offers the appropriate solution and is available in A, B, D, and X coding. This very compact and light design is ideal for applications with low space and weight.
CONEC M12 Crimp X-coded is designed for Ethernet applications with data rates up to 10 Gigabit/s, allowing applications with high data rates to be implemented in an industrial environment.

The turned crimp contacts can take stranded wire cross-sections from AWG 28 to AWG 22 (for X-coding) and from AWG 24 to AWG 18 (for A-, B- and D-coding) and are thus suitable for a wide range of commercial industrial data cables.

The advantage of the machined crimp contacts is a reliable and gas-tight connection to the stranded wire which ensures constant low resistance even in extreme conditions. In addition, the female connectors are also available with so-called closed entry contacts offering an additional plug-in security of the socket contacts.

The crimp contacts can be processed with commercially available crimping tool and machinery, however the X-coded version requires a specific CONEC crimping tool plus selector.

The CONEC M12 Crimp connectors are protected against loosening due to vibrations during operation by a tactile vibration lock. The connector shell is entirely made of metal and therefore fully shielded. The connectors are designed for cable diameter of 4.5 to 8.3 mm and the shielding connection is done 360° to the full extent.

All versions meet protection degree IP67 when mated.

#In2Connect UK Ltd the UK based specialist supplier of waterproof #connectors, has added #Hermetic Glass to Metal #M12 connectors to its already extensive IP rated waterproof range. These glass to metal hermetically sealed #IP68 M12 male socket connectors are designed to exceed the mechanical and environmental requirements of IEC-61076-2-101 with fixed pin contacts, fused into a glass dielectric insert. Hermetically sealed M12 connectors from In2Connect are available as receptacles with eyelet, solder bucket and/or #PCB contacts.
Based on the M12 threaded connector range, the new #interconnects have been designed and manufactured to meet customers’ stringent individual requirements for environmental, mechanical and mounting conditions. Hermetic M12 connectors from In2Connect are designed to exceed IP68 in an unmated state. These connectors have a wide variety of applications and can be found in most industry sectors, such as #transport and #instrumentation, for use with proximity #switches, #sensors and interconnection in harsh environmental conditions. Standard Hermetic connectors are sealed by fusing a single piece glass insert into a machined Stainless Steel Shell. The pin contacts are permanently fused into the insert. To maintain thermal compatibility with the glass insert, the contacts are manufactured from a nickel alloy. The protective plating on the pin contacts is electro-deposited gold over nickel.
The Jam Nut is supplied with a fluorosilicone rubber O-ring for panel sealing. All M12 connectors and M12 hermetic connectors are RoHS compliant. The standard hermetic M12 connector is not designed as a pressure resistant connector even though the inserts are capable of withstanding high pressure differentials.
Installation size - M12 X 1
No of contacts - 3, 4, 5, and 8
Compact, Robust design
Hermetically sealed in stainless steel shell.
Hermeticity - Leakage of less than 1 x 10-8 cc/sec at one atmosphere pressure differential
Corrosion resistant
Coding - For non-standard coding please consult

Are you looking for McMurdo brand d-sub connectors and hoods which you think have been obsoleted because websites like Farnell Electronics say "no longer manufactured" or "no longer stocked"?
Perhaps Farnell no longer carry them, but In2Connect UK is fully franchised to continue supplying most of the dsub connectors, hoods, accessories, jackscrews MJS and MJL, jackposts MD 20418-2, MD 20418L-2, etc which have been the backbone of McMurdo's d-sub accessory range over the years.
What’s more, now that ITW McMurdo are part of the ITW Appliance Segment, prices on the pressed and formed “Special” D-subs are even more competitive than before;

In2Connect UK Ltd has extended its range of IP67 bayonet locking connectors with a new power connector to complement the panel cut-outs of the existing RJ45 Ethernet, USB and Fibre Optic Duplex LC data and bus connectors. These power connectors offer the flexibility of front or back mounting within a single panel footprint.

These new power connectors are designed for industrial cable connections with IP67 protection. Bayonet locking allows a quick, simple and robust connection in harsh environments. 2 and 3 pole versions are available within the IP67 power bayonet connector series. The 2-pos. version is designed for DC use up to max. 48 V DC and the 3-pos. version utilises a premating contact for AC up to max. 250 V AC with protective earth contact (PE).
Crimp contacts are available for wire cross sections 12 to 10AWG or AWG10 to 8 for the 2 pole plus AWG14 to 12 for the 3 contact version. Crimp connections ensure easy, safe and quick mounting of the contacts, which are included in the connector kit.
These power connectors can be used to replace other types like the IEC C13, Neutrik PowerCon or CEE Norm and have the added benefit over some of bayonet locking to ensure safety and continuity of supply in an industrial environment.

The connectors are also available in ready-made cable assemblies.

• Easy and safe locking by bayonet lock
• High current carrying capability
• Cable to cable connection
• Cable to receptacle connection
• Protective cap with tether available

• Automation systems
• Industrial process monitoring
• Communication equipment
• Diagnostic devices
• Outdoor telecommunication systems
• Use in harsh environments
