The festival of Chineer was celebrated with traditional zeal at Jamalabad (formerly Morkhon) in Gojal, Hunza. The festival was organized by Hashoo Foundation in partnership with Center for Culture and Development (CKU), Pakistan. Chineer is the Gojal version of Ginani festival which was celebrated at Baltit Fort in Karimabad this past week and planned to be held at Chalt in the Nagar district later this week.

Potohar Hotel under the new management has developed a lot and the quality of service has tremendously gone up. Either your are staying, doing an event or dinning in the restaurant, you will feel the hospitality that they promise they will deliver. Plus, Internet speed is really good and there is a small business center that caters your printing, copying and scanning needs.

The blocks from outside look great and landscapes are exceptional compared to many universities in Islamabad but there is still a lot to be done in the classrooms. Those is EE dept. are fine but you won't be pleased with congested seating arrangement in CS and Mgmt Scs. Cafe isn't up to the standard of rest of the places. Library is awesome.

Best hotel in Islamabad. I don't know if there are any buildings in Islamabad that focuses the local architecture but this place surely does. Did a few events this year and totally satisfied with the service.

Hunza Eagle's Nest Hotel is located at the most beautiful & highest point of the Hunza Valley. The hotel is a family-run business and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. It's my 2nd visit to this hotel and I want to come back again. The hotel has gone through tremendous changes since my last visit. An additional 20 luxury rooms have been added to the new block. The view of Hunza valley and surrounding peaks is superb from this place. I was staying in the Hunza Block and the mornings & evenings felt like heaven. I cannot describe the amazing scenery of sunrise and sunset. The food was awesome especially the local dishes. Best of luck for the future =)
