It's been 10 years since the shooting that killed 32 at Virginia Tech. Survivor Kevin Sterne shares his thoughts on what life is like today: https://www.firerescue1.com/fire-ems/articles/230533018-Virginia-Tech-marks-10-years-after-shooting-that-killed-32/

Ever wondered what an epidemiologist does? Morgan Anderson shares her thoughts on her career and why epidemiology matters: When most people hear that I am an epidemiologist, they usually think of infectious diseases, outbreaks and the CDC, but there is so much more to it. I like to think of Epidemiology as a mixture of public health and biostatistics. Public health includes chronic diseases, communicable diseases, environmental health, injury prevention, violence, aging, and much more. The basis for epidemiology requires the skills to investigate and analyze the root causes and spread of diseases/illness within the above mentioned categories. I find this career always changing based on the current health issues and needs of the community. I find it truly gratifying that my work has the potential to help so many people through prevention efforts.
