                                         MOUNT RORAIMA

Mount Roraima is located on the triple border point between Brazil, Guyana and Venezuela. It is weird because of its shape, but is also mysterious because of the clouds that are always near the peak and the endemic fauna. The tabletop of the mountain, which is the peak actually, is considered as one of the world’s oldest geological formations. It is believed that the plateau was formed by water and winds, but the reason why some species can’t be found anywhere else remain mystery.

Umbrellas are usually a sign of miserable weather (especially here in the UK)

However in Águeda, a municipality in Portugal, during the month of July visitors can see a fantastic, colorful installation featuring hundreds of umbrellas floating above the streets. Hanging over promenades they’re giving pedestrians a nice bit of shade, offering an amazing view, and generally putting a smile on people’s faces!

It brightened up our day, we hope it does the same for you!

World Wonders, a new project from the Google Cultural Institute, lets you take a virtual journey to more than 130 world heritage sites across the globe—like Stonehenge, the Palace and Garden of Versailles, temples of ancient Kyoto or The White City of Tel-Aviv. You can explore each site using Street View, and watch related videos or browse photos and 3D models for more information.

Start exploring the World Wonders Project now: goo.gl/gK74h and share your favorite places you’ve visited using the hashtag #worldwonders.

Messi won "World's Best Player" for the fourth time. But this isn't very interesting.

Much more interesting is the composition of Fifa's "Team of 2012", which includes the best players of the past year. 10 out of 11 players come from Barcelona & Real Madrid. All 11 players come from Spanish La Liga.

Suddenly, Messi's achievement appears a lot less significant. World's best players are concentrated in just two teams. It is doubtful that Messi could achieve his current heights if the majority of his current teammates played against him and not with him.

It will be really interesting to see him at the World Cup, which is a lot more competitive than both La Liga & Champions League.

Average campground. Relatively easy to make a reservation. Some campsites are close to road, and one can hear passing cars. Other campsites are better.
