Looking for a multi-day walk in France that's pretty and flat and has zero chance of getting lost? Perhaps there's a canal with your name on it!

One of my favourite 'most beautiful villages' in France is Collonges-la-Rouge - my suggested overnight stop on the second day of walking from Martel to Rocamadour. Let's take a look around!

Looking for a walk that's nice and flat, has plenty of interesting sights easily reached from the towpath? The Burgundy Canal could be just the thing!

Day 1 – Le Puy-en-Velay to le Monastier-sur-Gazeille

Auberge des Acacias—our home for the first night in le Monastier-sur-Gazeille , where we met two Scottish ladies that we would see many times over the next week or so.
We arrived exhausted, dehydrated (the temperature was in the high 30s) and in a taxi, having wandered off the GR 70 path and onto the GR 3F—all thoughts of exploring the village had to wait until the next day!
