Asking someone what they think about Jesus Christ is one of the most telling questions you can ask in order to discern where someone is spiritually. 1 Corinthians 16:22 - If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!

Ah, so it's just your opinion! Very arbitrary! How can I reason with someone who doesn't know what truth is objectively? You know God exists, it's impossible to get around it. I would really urge you to think about your sin against the God you know exist and repent and trust alone in Christ to save you from your sin against Him. He will also save your reasoning now! Also, stop borrowing from my world view to get through life. At least try and live consistently with your atheistic world view but of course it is impossible! Keep breathing because this is good as it will get for you unless you repent and have your eyes open spiritual. That's the free gift from God!¬

When reproved or admonished, don’t concern yourself much with the source of the correction. Don’t worry about whether it is a friend or enemy. [That others need to always "earn the right" to be used to admonish us is not taught in the Bible.] An enemy is often of greater value to you than a friend because he is not influenced by sympathy toward you. Keep your heart open to the correction of the Lord and be willing to receive His chastisement regardless of who holds the whip. The great saints all learned to taking a licking gracefully. That may be why they were great saints. - A.W. Tozer

I agree with you on that. I also believe that anyone who is friends with you should and will be able to tell you truth no matter how it hurts. Jesus had full compassion for the disciples and multides yet he always told the the truth about themselves. The Lord chatise those he loves and we should not fail to do the same. I'd rather be rebuked the right way than to go down a destructive path.

God SUSTAINS everything. He upholds all things by the word of His power. He holds both the moon and the electron in their orbits. God holds your eyeball in its socket. The laws of math and physics? God made the law of gravity. There is no law without a law-giver. God gives to all, life, breath and everything. Even the blasphemer’s breath to blaspheme is a gift from God. - Bob Jennings
God is big, real big, as big as you imagine a god ought to be, and then infinitely more. God is God. There's none like Him, none beside Him, none

Lilac I love to read and write. I also love learning God's word and doing what it says its hard at times and a daily struggle but I would rather do it than to be empty without it. Some serve the Lord for what they can get. I serve the Lord because he really does feel the holes in my life. He gives me a guidance and a direction. I may not know where he is taking me but I only want to grow and mature. It hurts but its worth the hurt.

Refusing God is not always an outright defiance like Pharaoh saying "Who is the Lord that I should obey Him?" It's not always like that. Sometimes you just refuse Him when it just gets to the point where the race is hard and you make excuses and ignore what He says.

I have never given anything away that I have felt sorry for. I have kept things that I have regretted. I have never been self-sacrificing, that I look back on at now and say “I wish I hadn't done that”. But I have been selfish so many times and said “I wish I hadn't done that”. - Paul Washer

Oh, Lord, help me to die to self and put myself at your disposal...amen.

The man on the street may know very little Bible, but sure enough, he knows Matthew 7:1, "Do not judge lest you be judged." Actually, the verse is taken out of context. Jesus is specifically speaking against hypocritical judging -- not taking the "beam out of your own eye" first. And furthermore, the passage goes on to the end of the chapter to teach that the Christian is in fact supposed to judge (identify) "dogs, swine, and wolves in sheep's clothing", that is, false Christians. Did you know the Bible is replete with commands to judge: John 7:24, 1 John 3:10, 1 Cor. 2:15, etc? But the sinner takes Matthew 7:1 as a handy hiding place to try to escape conviction. - Bob Jennings

It means, do not condemn. You can outrageously condemn someone in various ways. That would take a blog post to cover, but that's what Christ meant, there, in Matt 7:1. Only God knows our hearts. Love this piece of writing, :)

(Excerpt) If men don't come to Christ, their inability to not come is that they love their idols more. There is only one thing that keeps men from coming to Christ and it is because they are wickedly married to their sins and refuse to come.
