The worst sin of all is the false thinking about God of which the natural man is so terribly guilty. - Martyn Lloyd-Jones

When I come to die, I shall have my greatest grief and my greatest joy – my greatest grief that I have done so little for Jesus; and my greatest joy that Jesus has done so much for me. My last words shall be: “Here goes an unprofitable servant!” - William Grimshaw (pg. 176 – William Grimshaw of Haworth by Faith Cook)

Brethren, don't be deceived, Satan does not like praying churches; he loves it when the prayer meetings begin to diminish. Prayer unleashes the power of God and he knows it. Don't give into this. If some of you are not showing forth a devotedness to corporate prayer; then brethren I call you, repent of that, turn, don't go down that path. It can become easy; you justify it once, you justify it twice. - Tim Conway

He has heard my prayers, not now and then, nor once nor twice, but so many times, that it has grown into a habit with me to spread my case before God with the absolute certainty that whatsoever I ask of God, He will give it to me. It is not now a "perhaps" or a possibility. I know that my Lord answers me, and I dare not doubt, it were indeed folly if I did. - C.H. Spurgeon (From his sermon "The Golden Key of Prayer")

"Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face." There's a truth there that the song writer says that you and I need to know, and the reason why is because how frequently Scripture hits us with this truth. The Providence itself makes it look like God is frowning at you, but if you can pull back the veil you see a smiling face and the kingdom of heaven.

Often a woman’s security is based on financial stability, her husband, or her own success in the world. All these things can change. God never changes. “He is the same yesterday, today, yes and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). He alone can give true stability and security. - R.M.H. (Read article: https://goo.gl/qorN38)

Love is not some mushy feeling, it has to do with laying down your life for someone… it is the most costly thing imaginable to love the way the Bible talks about what love is. – Charles Leiter

The Christian life, as is often pointed out, cannot properly be segmented. When one comes to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, each and every aspect of his life comes under Christ’s control. To draw a line between work and worship, viewing one as secular and the other as sacred, is to miss a fundamental teaching of God’s Word: “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor. 10:31). - Richard Ochs

If the religious work in which you are engaged can function without the supernatural hand of God, then it requires no faith on your part and is worthless in God's sight. - Conrad Murrell

Conrad Murrell had an unusual spiritual authority, his insight into the “heart” of Scripture, his ability to analyze men and movements, his great wisdom in dealing with thorny pastoral problems, his example and skill in personal counseling– all have affected me deeply. Conrad was a “pastor’s pastor.” The impact of his life and teachings will continue for generations to come through the men he mentored and encouraged. – Charles Leiter

God’s ultimate purpose is pointing to the unification of all things by way of reconciliation to God by peace, which is made by the blood on Christ’s Cross. As Ephesians 1:10 says, “as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.”
