There’s still time to register for the HSPI webinar, “Accelerating Actionable Change — Partnering With Patients and Families to Improve Healthcare Outcomes,” 2 p.m. eastern time Thursday, Jan 17.

Presenter Julie Ginn Moretz, associate vice chancellor for Patient-and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is widely recognized for her work in developing clinical and academic programs related to PFCC.

In this webinar, Moretz will discuss how to engage patients and families to achieve safer outcomes. Moretz's work is inspired by her young son’s battle with heart disease as he underwent multiple heart surgeries and a transplant. It was through her path as a volunteer family advisor at the Medical College of Georgia that Moretz worked in partnership with healthcare leaders and clinicians to redefine outdated policies and procedures related to patient engagement and care.

There’s still time to register for the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) webinar, “Enterprise Readiness and the “High Performance Organization,” 2 p.m. eastern time Thursday, Jan 12.

How does a company accomplish more in less time and not spin out of control? The challenge is increasing efficiency while also increasing effectiveness. Company leaders have to manage multiple (often competing) priorities. We need to recognize opportunities and threats to our strategies and make sound decisions to deploy effective countermeasures in order to maintain control. And we need to do all of this in real time.

In this webinar Joseph F. Paris Jr., founder, Operational Excellence Society and Chairman, XONITEK will discuss the importance of accelerated decision-making as the competitive differentiator for the 21st Century company, and examine the decision-making process cycle from inception to execution along with the appropriate use and interoperabilities of the OODA-Loop, PDCA, and DMAIC.
