Especially with small birds such as the Sacred Kingfisher (seen in this image), the urge always exists to zoom right in and fill the frame with the bird. But once in a while, it’s always good to zoom out and capture the bird in its habitat. By doing this, you put the bird in perspective and give the viewer of the image a true idea of the real size of the bird.

Introduction

Photography started off as a hobby for me but pretty soon it turned into a passion and I have been doing Wildlife / Bird photography for close to five years.

Having grown up on National Geographic magazines and Discovery Channel, it’s no surprise that my heart and passion lies in Wildlife / Bird photography. I am very passionate about the Conservation of our Wildlife / Birdlife that calls this planet ‘Home’ just as we do.

I have been fortunate in that some of my work has been published in various newspapers, magazines and websites and you can see my published work in the 'News and Media' section of the Black Stallion Photography website (www.igallopfree.com).

At this point I’ll stop talking and hand you over to my camera who will do the talking from here on... So feel free to trot around our Google+ Page and hope you like what you see. If you have the time, why not gallop over to the other areas of Black Stallion Country by visitinghttp://about.me/blackstallionphotography.

Hope you enjoy your stay today and hope you can come back soon. And bring some friends along next time around; we'd love to meet them as well.

GALLOP FREE.
