IES would always recommend that you get your home tested to make sure that it is safe for you and your family.

We got a call from one of our customers complaining about a burning smell, our engineer opened the consumer unit and seen the meted MCB, this was caused by a loose connection and had the potential to start a fire.

Please get in touch with us on 0131 258 2750 to book in your EICR today.

TICKETS HAVE ARRIVED!!!

The past year has flown by, we have experienced our busiest year so far and that is in part due to receiving "Best Small Contractor " of the year award in 2015. We were totally humbled and determined to continue to demonstrate that we are worthy winners of such a prestigious award.

We wish everyone nominated in this category the very best of luck..

This year we have been fortunate to be nominated for the "Best Visual Promotion" which we are delighted about.

Looking forward to meeting up with old and new a acquaintances this Friday at the select awards and good luck to everyone nominated in all categories..

An EICR must be completed by a suitably competent person.  Regulation 16 of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 requires persons to be competent to prevent danger and injury. the HSE publication HSR 25 provides guidance on this.   The landlord is responsible for ensuring the person completing an EICR is suitably competent. Using a firm that is a member of an accredited registration scheme operated by a recognised body will give some degree of confidence that this has been achieved.  In Scotland, this will usually mean that they are a registered with NICEIC or a member firm of the Electrical Contractors' Association of Scotland (SELECT).

The Electrical Contractors' Association of Scotland (SELECT) provide online tools for finding local members.
