Some question the accuracy of the decibel meter, and that's another great point. How can we expect the people who will no doubt be selectively enforcing this ordinance to make sure that their equipment is also accurately calibrated? How are we ensuring the equipment is accurate? I don't see any of that in the ordinances either.

Exactly!

I posted at the top explaining some of the measurement procedures used.  But that's part of the point of this, nothing about the way they've set up the current or proposed ordinance can be done effectively!  And yes, it's obviously specifically set up for 'selective enforcement' aka 'bullying'

Unbelievable poboys with tons of all kinds of things thrown together. All That Jazz is a favorite but you really can't go wrong here. They also have plate lunch fare like chicken parm and lots of sides. Cash only.

If Bourbon St. is crowded, they have a relatively clean bathroom by the bar in the back.

Historic hat shop, you may run into a movie star and you will definitely have a tough time deciding with hats stacked to the ceiling. Next to the incredible Rubenstein's.

Don't pass out here after the BCS Championship, especially if LSU plays Bama.

An institution for trad jazz, and host to many special avant garde shows at Jazzfest and otherwise. Get there early, soak it in and secure your spot, there isn't much space.

Best jazz brunch in New Orleans. Be sure to get reservations so you can sit in the beautiful downstairs area surrounding the courtyard.

Quick, friendly service. I needed a new alternator for my Ford Explorer. I was in and out in less than an hour. They had an alternator in stock, charged me $150 for it and my total bill, with a $60 tow was $325. I was able to listen in on some phone conversations where they were working to find the best price on a part for another customer, and they really seemed to take time to find the cheapest option. I'll be using them in the future, and calling them for advice if its something they can't handle.
