Hello Ian
This is a late commentary to your  visual and social Network
information, rather late than early However the" education of children of men" is a  known factor especially now that the Internet has proclaimed as a Leading Padagogic instument
in education especially in the Western world

What i have seen in your tube highlights the need for more Caribbean Convergences to strengthen  its Economic, politically and cultural achievements in so doing  can  highlight and disseminate our sensitive thoughts to the past Postcolonial legacy, having said that in Berlin Germany as you know young generation of Imigrants especially from other  Eastern European  countries do not know about our histography outside what is shown within todays Media Interest and who highlights focuses on another Image and which shows a self- centric translation and  perspective of  the New Caribbean.
It would only be a matter of time that we would want to make more Films ,Like "12 years a Slave" or "Django Unchained" that have made some interesting eye opener reviews in the Film industry and International Media recently, but Cuba has been doineg films during the last 45 years on postColnialism  that most caribbean people have not  known or seen but is now readily documented into the Social Media.

We in the Caribbean  today do not have such  demanding budgets and expertise to make such films even though but  to galvanise awareness in understanding where all of that started  but it at least gives us a better geographical narrative in  understanding  and effecting our History and Humanity  .
