I'm covering RobotsConf for Make Magazine - our first article contains a Q&A with RobotsConf curator Chris Williams. I'm very excited to meet the attendees, speakers, and workshop guides in just a few days - see you all soon!
Chris and Laura Williams have an audacious plan to transform 150 coders into makers at RobotsConf, a sold-out new conference Dec. 6-7 on Amelia Island near Jacksonville, FL. This 48 hour, hands-on,...

My latest blog post for MAKE Magazine features the amazing  +Pat Starace and his StarBots robot kits from AnimatronicShop. The skull in that video is made of PAPER on top of his acrylic robots kits. You have to see it to believe it.

If you want to learn soldering, Arduino, basic mechanics with servo motors, papercraft, etc - they are great kits. As a bonus, if you buy one, you support a local maker making his dream to reality.

Huge props to Pat for chasing his dream, to +Brooks Zurn  for the use of her laser to complete the Kickstarter, to the crew at +FamiLAB  for jumping in to make it happen in such a short time.

Please go read and share the article!
What was the secret sauce in StarBots animatronic kits?
