VOTE NOW! Our IEEE proposed SXSW 2017 session, “Closing the Education Gap with Technology” features educators, entrepreneurs, & ‘edupreneurs’ as they discuss how to close the gap between underserved and privileged communities. bit.ly/2bgEked Help edupreneurs fully understand the needs of educators to create real, practical, obtainable solutions. Technology offers possibility, but concern that edupreneurs don’t understand the needs of educators is a roadblock. This session featuring Jamie Moesch, managing director, IEEE Educational Activities (IEEE Educational Activities), Andy Butler, CEO, Square Panda, Nick Giacobbe, learning specialist, Chicago Public Schools and Justina Nixon-Saintil, director of Education Programs, Verizon Foundation (The Verizon Foundation), will allow attendees to leave with a low-cost lesson plan idea that can be implemented immediately.
