These automated delivery robots are able to travel up to 3 miles and they’ve already been trialled by JustEat in South London and they’re now joining forces with Co-Op in Milton Keynes. While they sound incredibly convenient and are another impressive step in autonomous technology, the question remains: how will they cope with navigating the streets on a larger scale, with the risks of becoming accidentally or purposefully damaged or stolen?

With much debate over the future of autonomous cars, could it in fact be self-driving trains that have a bigger immediate impact on our society?
