Fall's Bounty Becomes A Winter Meal
Farmer's Market is still going strong, only difference is it's inside and runs for 3 hours.

Fall crops are in abundance, ready for hearty winter meals.

There aren't any tomatoes to make a pizza sauce, but squash is in full force! Mix up your options and try blending up some new veggies.

What have you been using in place of tomatoes?

Garlic is one 2015 crop that's already planted and just like us awaits the arrival of Spring.

Hospitality FarmStay Style
Originally we opened the Lodge at Humble Hill for on farm overnight hospitality. Having the ability to take online reservations has turned it into much more than that. What the Lodge offers folks is a break from the hotel experience; a pause for many folks to discover us for the first time. They book online and have no idea about the story of the farm till they arrive.
One of my favorite parts of connecting with guests in person for the first time is answering questions and sharing the parts of our story that they are most curious about. I also enjoy reading their reviews since we are always looking to improve the experience.

Here's what one couple had to say:

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Humble Hill Farm in August 2013. We arrived late at night, and Patty waited up for us without a problem. The stars were amazing! A great place to watch a meteor shower. The room and bathroom (we stayed in the master suite) were very clean and nice - even nicer than it looked in the photographs. Patty and her family renovated the farmhouse themselves (I found out the next morning at breakfast) - the feel is modern and spacious, much more like staying in a friend's house than a B and B which can be fussy or old-fashioned. The bathroom was clean with locally made toiletries and lots of towels. I went for a walk in the morning - and ate peaches right off the tree in the front yard! Breakfast was delicious - Patty was very accommodating in terms of timing and any diet limitations. We have traveled all over the world and stayed at a lot of B and Bs - put Humble Hill Farm on your list of places to go!"
Will we be getting a room ready for you this season?

Dreaming of purple basil! The seed catalogs are all dog eared and circled. Orders are being placed, the seed rack has been set up and soil is warming in trays awaiting the arrival of the 2014's seed orders.
