I haven’t skated since leaving Geneva, 31 years ago, which is why I am eager to see the opening of this skate ring next to the IBM office.

Each time I listen on my phone to my favorite radio station, which broadcast from  5,700 miles away, I am amazed by what tech has achieved.

I still haven’t decided which next gen console I will buy. It will depend on game quality and which one will offer a Plex client first.

The Swiss rejected last week a law proposal limiting executives from earning more than 12x the salary of the lowest paid employee of the company. Switzerland has a Gini coefficient of  33.7, well below the U.S. (45), Japan (38.1), China (47) or Mexico (48.3). There has been a long tradition of relatively low inequality levels in that country, but the situation has been changing progressively, with compensation for high level executives at some of the best known swiss companies sparking outrage. Back when I lived in Switzerland, it was quite hard to imagine that someone could earn more than four times the salary of somebody else in the same company.

The new Huger Games movie is slightly better than the previous one, but there is still much room for improvement. For example, how come they have to take the cable to the tree first and then return to the beach? Wouldn’t it have been much easier to plant the cable in the water and then connect it to the tree? No need for a round trip…

I feel shivers down the spine each time I listen to “Pray” by Tina Cousins. https://t.co/MXHNLpbYgN This could be related to the fact that when I hear it, I turn the volume all the way up!
