Today is a glorious day — Xiaomi is opening our first international Mi Home, in Hong Kong! And it looks stunning :)

Mi Home HK is 270 square meters, with a spacious open-floor layout and a cozy design with couches, colorful pillows, and solid wood furniture.

Mi Home is many things in one place: a full-service repair center, an experience center for new Mi products, and Mi shop for fans to buy Mi accessories (and soon also phones!). Most importantly, Mi Home is a community hub for Mi fans to hang out, watch movies, and share stories.

Come check it out if you're in Hong Kong! Hollywood Plaza 20/F, 610 Nathan Road, Mongkok

Wall Street Journal's Monday front page story: Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun interviewed by Eva Dou, including one of his best quotes ever:

“Even a pig can fly if it stands at the center of a whirlwind” — Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO

http://www.wsj.com/articles/xiaomi-chinas-new-phone-giant-takes-aim-at-world-1433731461
Lei Jun’s fast-growing startup, Xiaomi, used social networking to take on Apple and Samsung smartphones in China, but can he repeat overseas?

why the last Mi4 displays have not the same quality than others produced in august 2014, october and november 204?
The MI4 sold in this time have a different display than the others Mi4 produced and sold in August 2014, and November October 2014 . I had two xiaomi mi4 white 64GB WCDMA produced in October 2014 and I have compared with two black Mi4 wcdma 16GB produced in avril  and  one 16GB LTE FDD mi4 produced in April 2015 and results screens Mi4 64GB of October 2014 have best Displays (Bright White, brighter, higher contrast) and the others  MI4 produced in April 2015 have screens that are not good (yellowish white, less bright, less contrast). These are not all the same screens? Thank you to take into account the settings below: Brightness 100% in the parameters "color & contrast" the contrast keyed on "increased contrast" and "color temperature" on "Cold". To disable the automatic brightness
This is a big problem which is not evocated in the forums

Mi 4i reviews are here!

Here's one of the first Mi 4i reviews by the one and only +Sahil Mohan Gupta (Dr Bones!). And here are some of my favorite quotes from his review: :)

"The attention to detail is unlike no other phone in the price range."

"wafer thin at 7.8mm and weights just 130 grams, (...) same weight as Samsung’s new Galaxy S6."

"The display on the Mi 4i, to the naked eye, is actually better than the Mi 4, and yes even the iPhone 6."

+Sanchit Mittal Dont worry. Its not the end of technology, you can sure go for a better one after 8 months or so. The technology is growing exponentially, so there is no point of getting dissapointed, atleast think that u r saving 2k still and u are getting a better display( Sunlight display and also 4G) and also Lollipop

Absolutely fascinating property, beautiful grounds and spacious rooms. Service quality, however, is well below the 4-star level, mostly due to poorly trained staff at all levels below the managers. This appears to have been a serious regression from previous years based on what I had heard from others who had visited this property years ago. Makes it hard to justify the high rates.

Pros: - Killer location on Copacabana beach, a few minutes walk from Ipanema beach - Excellent breakfast banquet Cons: - Smoky rooms (non-smoking rules not enforced, thick carpet that isn't properly cleaned) - Inattentive service staff - Very expensive for value provided
