I have a coffee roaster that I use in my hooded BBQ, it is basically a drum that holds the beans and agitates them with some fins inside it. It has a simple sliding door to let you get beans in and out. It was made by a machinist many years ago - and it's about the only thing that isn't hacked.

I am trying to get the steward to see my nest protects. I am guessing i need to be on the same wifi network but how do i go about configuring wifi on an rpi steward? Noob question i know but i am failing to find any info....
The steward is up and running on the wired Ethernet ok and i can get to the client.

The thingsystem looks very impressive. Are there any clients that use the rules engine etc? From reading through the steward instructions it seems the only way to start the magic is by writing your own client?

we hope to have a basic functionality in the sample client for the next release at month's end.

however, +Jason DeVelvis is right: figure out what you want it to do and right your own. the curators have lots of ideas, but, at present, we try to focus on what will be helpful to other developers ...
