Join me in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer. I will be walking on Sunday, April 19 in the Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk in honor of my mom who passed away in August just 6 weeks after being diagnosed.  Please support me in this fight.  If you can't walk with us, perhaps you wish to make a donation to find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.  Thanks!

What a great idea for your next wine & cheese party. http://snip.ly/dDN7
When your wine, cheese and meat spread can't fit on a board, get some black paper, white markers and turn it into tablecloth.

It's Wine Word Wednesday. Today's word is Green. You can detect the greeness in a red wine when it's loaded with aromas and flavors of green pepper. http://snip.ly/0HCN

Answers to some wine questions you were afraid to ask.

Does this wine really taste like it says on the label? Will you really get delicate notes of white flower, bergamot, and under-ripe apricot? That’s really up to you. At the end of the day, you’re drinking fermented grape juice, but there is...

I celebrated Fat Tuesday making a Cajun Meatloaf. I know when people hear the word Meatloaf, it's either yay, or nay.  However this one is might tasty and made with wine.  I turned a nay into a yay in my house.  http://snip.ly/ilNK

Ever been faced with ordering wine at a business dinner and didn't want the client to think you had no idea what to select.  Face it, wine lists can be overwhelming and your expense account can be limited, but it doesn't have to be.  Join me March 3 for "10 Wine Tips For Your Business Dinner"  or Charlotte on March 2. We'll get you through it and show you some tips.

Taking the intimidation out of wine!
Introduction

Debbie Gioquindo,CTC(Certified Travel Counselor), CSW(Certified Specialist of Wine), WLS (Wine Location Specialist) is a marketing professional by day following her passion for wine.  In 2006 she began her  wine blog "Hudson Valley Wine Goddess" with the intent to educate people about wine.

Debbie combined her love of wine with her full time, day job in Community Relations and Marketing for a regional health insurance provider and part time marketing consultant for the local wine region.  Wanting more and to give credibility to her blog, in 2010 she sat and passed  the Certified Specialist of Wine exam administered by the Society of Wine Educators and in January 2012 she passed the Centers of Wine Origins, Wine Location Specialist exam in Port and Champagne.

Everything changed in February of 2011 when she was downsized from her day job and the local wine industry she was consulting with lost their funding.  Trying to figure out what direction she wanted to move forward in, she  answered a tweet from Keryl Pesce, @TheHappyBitch about creating a wine label. Three tweets and  a cup of coffee together a business relationship was formed.  Six months later Debbie and Keryl Pesce gave birth to their first wine, a Rosé. June 2013 they gave birth to two more wines, a Sauvignon Blanc and Pink Chardonnay.

In addition to her blog and Happy Bitch Wines, Debbie is a wine judge and chairperson for the Hudson Valley Wine & Spirits Competition and consults on social media to small businesses. She is also available for private wine tastings and education.
